Noise pollution has become a major issue in modern society throughout the world. According to the European Commission approximately 20% of all Europeans are exposed to a noise level that will be hazardous to health in the long term.
Timber reflective noise barriers can be the most competitive solution to abating noise pollution issues. Reflective timber noise barriers insulate against noise by reflecting the noise back across the motorway, or forcing it to take a longer path over and around the barrier.
At protectcare we can provide varied types of reflective timber noise barriers. The most common are single skinned panels, ranging from 2 to 4 metres in height. These can also come in a double skinned variety for both aesthetics and ‘anti climb’ benefits.
Through laboratory testing a performance coefficients can be assigned to these products, ratings of B0 to B3 can be achieved where B3 has a very high coefficient.
